  • Experience of representing an organisation both internally and externally.
  • Experience of being accountable for large budgets and obtaining external funding.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the youth sector and youth organisations.
  • Understanding of how to achieve impact, educational outcomes and theory of change.
  • Knowledge of mechanisms to monitor change and progress with objectives.
  • Ability to bring rigour, challenge and realism to the senior debate, and of creating a culture of openness and transparency.
  • Well-developed people-management skills, with significant experience of successfully leading and motivating teams.
  • Proven ability to form good working relationships across a diverse workforce, including senior volunteers.
  • Ability to manage large-scale budgets effectively.
  • The vision and intellectual capability to understand the environment in which the Scouts is operating.
