Morden College is an almshouse charity providing a home to over 250 older people and delivering care and support services. We have two beautiful sites in Blackheath and Beckenham and our accommodation is comfortable. We also make a number of small grants and we would like to expand this aspect of our work.
We are fortunate to have a permanent endowment which provides us with the resources we need to create homes and care settings. Now, we want to find new and sustainable ways to develop our resident services and to increase our grant making.
If you become our Director of Resident Services and Charity Development, you’ll work as part of the Executive team collaborating with colleagues in Operations, Finance, People and Culture, and Real Estate.
We are currently developing a fresh approach to resident services. Our residents at Blackheath and Beckenham have a range of services available to them and this work is led by the Head of Resident Services who works closely with gardeners, maintenance, and hospitality teams. We also have a Head of Care and Quality who oversees our Care Home and Domiciliary Care services. The Director of Resident Services will develop both of these areas of work and will lead our Charity Development work focussing on partnerships and grant-making so that we can have a great impact in our wider communities.
