  1. Strategic Leadership: Proven experience in providing strategic leadership to organizations, with a demonstrated commitment to social justice and poverty alleviation.
  2. Facilitative Leadership: Skill and sensitivity to facilitate a global team of expert colleagues, to draw out their strengths responding to each context and weave this into a dynamic and impactful global programme.
  3. International Development Expertise: Strong background in international development, global relations, or a related field, with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities and experience of the role of faith-based organisations.
  4. Collaboration and Networking: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  5. Adaptability and Relationship Sensitivity: Ability to navigate complex and dynamic environments and be sensitive to cultural and theological complexities in a global communion of churches.
  6. Fundraising Skills: Track record of successful fundraising and resource mobilization from diverse funding sources, including government grants, foundations, and individual donors.
  7. Anglican Values:  The person will ideally be a lay or ordained practicing Anglican and will have a love for and a deep understanding of the Anglican Communion, with theological sensitivity and insight.
  8. Education: educated to at least degree level.
