Benefits and Wellbeing

As an NHS employee, you’ll be entitled to a large range of benefits:

Pension

The NHS Pension Scheme continues to be one of the most comprehensive and generous schemes within the UK that you can enter as soon as you join and where we will make a significant contribution to the cost of your pension; where your contributions come out of your salary before any tax is taken and where your pension will continue to provide valuable benefits for you and your family if you are too ill to continue work or die before you retire. It allows for a number of flexible work and retirement options.

We also offer a Pension contribution alternative award scheme (Pension recycling) for those impacted by the HMRC annual allowance limit.

Generous Annual Leave and Bank Holiday Allowance

27 days annual leave on entry, increasing on a sliding scale to 29 days after 5 years’ service and 33 days after 10 years’ service. This is in addition to 8 public holidays.

Option to buy additional leave.

Staff Wellbeing

Flexible Working allowing you to vary your working day and location as long as you work your total hours and are available to fulfil responsibilities and deliver.
