About The Road Safety Trust
The Road Safety Trust is a grant-funding charity committed to making UK roads safer, achieving impact through the funding of practical measures, research, dissemination, and education.
Since its formation in 2014, we have awarded £12million in grants to 120 projects and are now the largest independent grant funder of road safety initiatives in the UK.
Our trading subsidiary company, UKROEd, enables us to meet our charitable objectives through its education of road offenders with the NDORS Scheme (National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme) on behalf of participating UK police forces, and by donating its surplus to RST to distribute in grants.
Principally, our goal is to support innovative road safety research or practical interventions designed to reduce the number of people killed or injured on our roads. Practical interventions might focus on education, engineering or enforcement approaches or a combination of these.
We are a company limited by guarantee registered in England & Wales number 08837451 and a registered charity number 1156300.
