Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Degree or relevant experience instead of a degree, in appropriate subject.

Desirable

  • Further relevant qualification or training in animal science or services management.

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Proven senior operational management experience with diverse teams of 20+.
  • Senior leadership team membership.
  • Experience of managing £1m plus budgets and creating detailed financial reports.

Desirable

  • Charity sector experience at a senior level.
  • Experience of working with people with Hearing Loss.
  • Experience of working with volunteers.
  • ADI and ADUK knowledge of standards and accreditation process.
  • Experience of working with or supporting vulnerable people professionally or personally.

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

Essential

  • IT competency with all Microsoft packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate/lead effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to think strategically to shape and implement strategy and to develop, implement and review operational work plans.
  • Ability to influence Executive, board level and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership skills, providing direction, focus and development to the wider team to achieve performance.
  • Works collaboratively to encourage cross-functional working, avoid duplication of resources and improve results.
  • Understanding of the complexities of operational supply chain management and proven ability/capability to manage.

  • Experience of working in the hearing/healthcare sector.
