Person Specification – Chief People Officer

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • CIPD qualification required, FCIPD preferred.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of senior people leadership in complex organisations, serving on leadership teams and working in partnership with CEOs and Boards.
  • Track record of successfully leading significant recruitment and resourcing at scale, including executive-level hiring.
  • Experience in leading organisational design and change management, particularly in fast-growing or newly established organisations.
  • Experience establishing people functions from scratch or in early-stage organisations.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for health data, health innovation, and improving patient outcomes.

Desirable

  • Understanding of UK public sector or government-owned company environments, including governance, compliance, and accountability frameworks.
  • Experience in the healthcare, life sciences, research, or similar mission-driven sectors is advantageous.
