Finances

A copy of the Foundation’s Annual Report and Accounts can be found on our website at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025.

The Foundation has a ten-year plan which aims to deliver on its impact goals and provide for a sustainable financial operating model.

The main sources of income are derived from the returns from the endowment and the fundraising efforts.

The endowment is c£900+m portfolio comprising £375m property portfolio and £625m financial assets:

  • The property portfolio is a mix of development land to be realised and a portfolio of rent yielding properties.
  • The financial assets comprise a selection of private equity and credit managers plus a more liquid set of listed equity investments.

Our endowment is one of our most powerful tools when it comes to driving our mission and creating positive change through our dual objectives of achieving financial returns and real-world outcomes that support our mission.

Fundraising

The Foundation NHS charities raised £6m to support the patients, families and staff of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust that helps deliver better, fairer faster healthcare.

The Foundation recently brought our fundraising team in-house to maximise the income for the hospitals.

“Mums for Lungs campaign tirelessly to protect children from air pollution. From calling for a phase out of wood burning in urban areas, to spearheading the growth of over 800 school streets in London. They inspire us with their dedication.” Ben Pearce, Head of the Health effects of air pollution programme
