Role and attributes:
- Chair the Board of an organisation and help develop and assess strategic direction, with proven experience as Chair of a large Board and with a track record of making an impact in Boardroom environment.
- CEO, Managing Director, Corporate Divisional MD-level leadership within semiconductor industry and/or semiconductor enabled industry applications such as Electrification, Automotive, Energy, Communications, Defence and Security or Space.
- Able to influence government, public bodies, the business community, academia and the financial community – connections within government departments or HMT, or devolved administrations are especially advantageous.
- Experience of big picture thinking, setting strategy ideally at a sectoral level and working collaboratively with multiple, cross-industry/ cross-sector stakeholders
- Exercise judgement across a broad spectrum of policy and high-level management issues and deal with complex and difficult discussions with diplomacy and resolve.
- Communicate well across a range of audiences and articulate scientific or technical ideas to general audiences.
- Promote an ambitious culture appropriate for a dynamic, flexible and innovative body.
- Provide constructive challenge to the Catapult Executive and to drive forward change in behaviour and practice across the organisation.
- A proven track record of advocating for equality, diversity and inclusion in the boardroom.
