Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Able to think both strategically and commercially bring vision and creativity, develop ideas and encourage new and innovative solutions
  • Excellent leadership skills, able to hold the team accountable to deliver on their role and responsibilities. Drives and motivates team performance.
  • Understanding of how to achieve and measure impact through good product/service design that blends user input and multi-channel approaches
  • Able to connect, navigate and collaborate with other teams, departments, directorates and organisations
  • Knowledge of the application of appropriate quality frameworks to different types of service

Experience

Essential

  • Extensive experience of managing a large people based operations function at executive leadership and board level
  • Leadership and management of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience of developing and delivering strategy for a portfolio of services across all four UK jurisdictions and multiple locations
  • Extensive experience of managing significant budgets and operating plans
  • Experience of external engagement and partnership building at the highest levels

Experience of leading and managing volunteers will be desirable.
