That depth of commitment is both our greatest strength and the foundation on which everything we achieve is built.
Without the generosity, engagement and advocacy of the people who visit our zoos, join as members, give support as donors or partner with us as organisations, none of our ambitious conservation goals would be possible.
As we look to our future, on the back of our extraordinary 200th milestone, we’re looking for someone who can help us harness the extraordinary potential we have as both a leading conservation charity and a major UK visitor attraction, whilst building the strategies, systems and teams that allow us to grow income sustainably, deepen engagement meaningfully and make sure every supporter feels valued.
This is also about creating value for supporters as much as we’re asking for it. Whether someone visits one of our zoos, supports a field programme or makes a major gift, we want them to feel that their connection to us is meaningful, rewarding and rooted in real impact. That means being strategic about how we engage people, thoughtful about what we ask of them, and rigorous about demonstrating what their support achieves.
There are challenges, of course. Like many organisations in our sector, we’re navigating a complex external environment while working to deliver ambitious goals. But, we have solid foundations, exciting funded plans, and I’m genuinely optimistic about what we can will achieve together, and the right Chief Supporter Officer will be central to making that happen.
