At the Law Society, we have a rich history stretching back 200 years to 1825. Throughout that time as the independent professional body for solicitors in England and Wales, we have worked hard to promote the value of the profession, protect the justice system and support our members.
Today, our 400 staff and 400-strong volunteer community work to serve our 200,000 members. It is an exciting time for us – last year we celebrated our 200th anniversary and launched our next ambitious strategy, which will take use from 2025 – 2028. There is much to be done – and this role will play a crucial part.
This newly-created role, working closely with the Board Chair, will support in leading the Board’s oversight of our strategy and policy, take responsibility for delegated projects and help to drive a cultural shift around governance that is aligned to our strategic goals.
This is a rare opportunity to take a leading role in a high-profile professional body as it anticipates and responds to member needs and to a fast-changing technological and political environment.
