Thank you for your interest in the Chair, Member and Trustee vacancies at The Ormiston Trust, a charity whose vision is a world where every young person and their family have opportunities to thrive. Founded over fifty years ago from personal loss, we have remained authentic to our vision and values. We are now supporting a diverse range of schools and organisations reaching over 40,000 young people each year many of whom face significant adversity.
This is an exciting opportunity to join us, representing a chance to build on this legacy and oversee the implementation of our new strategic plan agreed in the summer of 2025. Educational inequality and youth outcomes are under extreme pressure, with young people facing challenges previous generations couldn’t have imagined. We therefore believe our purpose and approach has never been more urgent or relevant.
The next chair will inherit an organisation with credibility, proven partnerships, and a record of sustainable impact, offering an opportunity to evolve and expand this work for a new era – scaling successful models, embracing innovative approaches, and ensuring our programmes continue to empower young people to create meaningful change for decades to come.
