Inequality, climate change, public service reform. The challenges society face are complex and multifaceted, and as the need in communities grow, the impact is felt in the voluntary sector on the front line. NCVO is essential in helping ensure charities are equipped to play their best role supporting thousands of communities across the country.
We champion volunteers at all levels, and truly believe they are the lifeblood of our country. It is the sense of ‘giving back’ and being part of something life-changing, which give volunteers such rich experiences. Joining our committee as Audit and Risk chair will not only provide this volunteer experience, it will also allow you to use your skills to support thousands of charities across the country.
The Audit and Risk committee chair will work closely with other committee members and our Board to ensure we are monitoring our risk areas effectively, so we can continue to deliver innovative services and long-term systemic positive impact to our members and the wider voluntary sector over the next decade.
You will join an excellent committee and hugely talented board of trustees. NCVO committee members consider the widest possible range of views and perspectives – and this role is for somebody with the moral courage and personal resilience to challenge when required.
By choosing to join NCVO you not only get to support our mission, but the work we do ripples throughout the whole voluntary sector. The strategic decisions you make, will build our resilience and that of the sector.
