Welcome

NCVO’s current Treasurer has recently completed their second term in the post, and we are now seeking a successor.

This is not a typical Treasurer role.

As Treasurer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NCVO and the wider voluntary sector. This is a unique opportunity to help the Board and organisation think boldly both about the challenges and the opportunities ahead. NCVO continues to strengthen its support as champion for the sector—a hub for practical, influential thinking and a powerful platform for transformation.

Beyond the core responsibilities of a trustee, the Treasurer (Chair of the Finance and Commercial Committee) will provide strategic financial oversight, ensuring our activities remain sustainable, impactful, and aligned with our mission. This means both generating commercial income to sustain NCVO and continuing to deliver essential services that empower the sector. With ambitious plans for transformation and growth, the Treasurer will play a key role in shaping our financial strategy to support long-term success.

Additionally, the Treasurer will drive best practices in financial governance and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability. This position also serves on the Audit and Risk Committee, working alongside an independent Chair to safeguard NCVO’s financial stability as we expand our impact.

This is more than a financial leadership role—it’s an opportunity to drive real change, champion the sector, and help NCVO thrive.

We would welcome someone who challenges conventional thinking, drives innovative investment strategies, and plays a key role in seizing opportunities, transforming our approach to income generation and financial strategy, and pushing boundaries to unlock NCVO’s full potential.

So, if you are a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, a proven track record in financial leadership, and a passion for NCVO’s mission to support the voluntary sector, come and join us.

This is a particularly exciting time to join NCVO as we embark on our growth and transformation journey. The Treasurer will play a crucial role in ensuring NCVO’s sustainability and success in evolving as a commercially-minded organisation to serve the voluntary sector effectively.
