Board of Trustees

  • Lisa Burger (Chair) – Executive Director, National Theatre. Appointed on 31 January 2013

Lisa’s career at the National Theatre has spanned 20 years. She joined the NT as Finance Director in 2001, before becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2010. Lisa took on the role of Executive Director in 2015 and became Joint Chief Executive alongside Director Rufus Norris in 2019.

  • Cllr Bora Kwon. Appointed on 27 June 2018

Councillor Bora Kwon is a Councillor for Ravenscourt Park. Bora is the also Programmes Manager for Level 20. She was the first British Korean Councillor to be elected in the UK.

  • David Greig – Artistic Director, Lyceum Theatre. Appointed on 10 December 2020

David Greig is a Scottish playwright and theatre director. His work has been performed at many of the major theatres in Britain, including the Traverse Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, Royal National Theatre, and the Royal Shakespeare Company, and been produced around the world. He is currently the Artistic Director of Royal Lyceum Theatre

  • David Sharkey (Vice Chair) – Appointed on 27 June 2018

David stepped down from his role as Chief Operating Officer of the University of Surrey in 2019,  after 12 years at the  university  He previously worked in London in the retail sector having qualified as a chartered  accountant with PWC. He is also a trustee of the University of Roehampton

  • Farah Karim-Cooper – Professor of Shakespeare Studies, King’s College London and co-Director of Education at Shakespeare’s Globe. Appointed on 06 September 2021

Farah Karim-Cooper is Professor of Shakespeare Studies, King’s College London and Head of Higher Education & Research at Shakespeare’s Globe, where she has worked for the last 16 years. Farah is Vice-President of the Shakespeare Association of America after having served three years as Trustee.

  • Cllr Jonathan Caleb-Landy. Appointed on 27 June 2018

Cllr Jonathan Caleb-Landy is a Councillor for Ravenscourt Park and Deputy Whip for Hammersmith and Fulham Council. He works for leading conservation charity WWF and learning disability charity Mencap. Jonathan is also trustee for Hammersmith and Fulham Mencap since 2016.

  • Julie Molloy – Managing Director of The National Gallery Company Ltd. Appointed on 27 June 2018.

Julie Molloy is the Managing Director of The National Gallery Company Ltd. Julie held previous roles in arts and business at the Royal Academy, The Royal Collection and C&A UK.

  • Kamran Mallick – CEO of Disability Rights UK. Appointed on 26 January 2017

Kamran Mallick is the Chief Executive of Disability Rights UK, the only UK wide disabled people’s organisation, as well as trustee of disability charity Wheels for Wellbeing.

  • Lameya Chaudhury – Head of Marketing and Communications at EVERFI UK. Appointed on 06 September 2021

Lameya has over 12 years of experience specialising in education marketing and understands the important role it can play as a tool for positive social change. Her professional career has provided myriad experiences within multicultural environments and various sectors, including commercial, charities and government clients.

  • Liz Elston Mayhew. Appointed on 27 June 2018

Liz has been a key member of the Lyric’s Development committee since 2010 and has been a strong advocate of our work with young people. Liz is also trustee of the charity Build It International which works in Zambia. Liz has worked and lived in the borough for 30 years and has a background in banking and business.

  • Cllr Patricia Quigley. Appointed on 27 June 2018

Councillor Patricia Quigley was elected in May 2018 and is a councillor for Hammersmith Broadway Ward and is also an Assistant to Cabinet. She is part of the LBHF Disabled People’s Commission.

  • Rondette Amoy Smith – Head of Diversity & Inclusion for financial services group Nomura. Appointed on 06 September 2021

Rondette is the Head of Diversity & Inclusion for EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) at Nomura, an Asia-based financial services group with an integrated network spanning over 30 countries. As a subject matter expert and thought leader, she leverages a hand-on approach, keen focus on stakeholder engagement, enabling the empowerment of internal talent and effectively managing external vendor affiliations to shape and define the firm’s inclusion & equity strategy.

  • Cllr Sue Fennimore. Appointed on 23 June 2014

Sue Fennimore is a Labour Councillor for Addison Ward and Deputy Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

Finance & Resources Committee

The Finance & Resources Committee reviews the draft of the Lyric’s business plan and supporting budgets and makes recommendations  to the Lyric Board. Itreviews the annual budget and strategy and makes recommendations  to the Lyric Board. As well as regularly reviewing  financial performance , the Committee also takes responsibility, on behalf of the Board, for reviewing internal financial and operational controls and leading on all external audit and risk management

Directors of the Lyric Hammersmith Enterprises

Lyric Hammersmith Enterprises Board oversee the trading activities of the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith Ltd and ensure that the trading activities safeguard the charitable assets of the Lyric and balance potential risks against financial reward accordingly. The trading activities encompass: bars and catering, events and hires and other commercial activities that may arise, but will not include commercial exploitation of artistic programme.
