We are at an inflection point for both the London brand and the London & Partners corporate brand. As CMO, you will lead through both.
London’s brand is globally powerful but faces new challenges. We must respond to disinformation, threats to London’s values of openness, the UK’s evolving place in the world and the implications of AI, amongst others.
In this context, London & Partners’ role needs to change: from being a strong single voice for London, to being the leader of a team of powerful advocates. To use the choir analogy: we are shifting from soloist to conductor. Your job is now to write the hymn sheet and coordinate different voices.
The CMO will lead ‘Team London,’ our growing coalition of influential individuals, brands and organisations with the shared ambition to build London’s global reputation. We have laid the foundations for this approach and are now looking for a CMO to provide visible and inspiring leadership as we start to deliver.
London & Partners has grown significantly in size, mandate and impact in recent years. Our corporate reputation has not always kept up. We have just refreshed our corporate brand and narrative, alongside moving into a new HQ on Russell Square. As CMO, you will use this platform to raise London & Partners’ profile as a trusted expert partner to business and policymakers alike.
You will be building on the strong foundations built by Rose Wangen-Jones, who is retiring after 7 successful years in the organisation.
London & Partners is a high performing organisation. 25/26 was a record year for our impact for London. Our funding is sustainable. We have strong staff engagement. Our Senior Leadership Team is stable and ambitious.
