Knowledge
Essential
- Broad knowledge of information and communication technology, and its use in adding value to commercial business.
- Degree educated, ideally in a related field such as business administration, computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of technology services for a similar sized / scope organisation.
- Extensive demonstrable understanding of tech management best practice, including governance and change management, and its application in a diverse international organisation.
- Appreciation of good practice in general business change management.
Desirable
- ITIL or similar qualification.
- A good understanding of relevant software applications – refer to current Architecture blueprint and development Roadmap.
- Strong understanding of technology services in a relevant sector (education consultancy and / or programme delivery, public sector, third sector / not-for-profit).

- Significant track record in developing business-based tech strategies and evidence of the ability to deliver these in a constantly changing environment.
- Managing and adapting a technology operating model.
- Developing and implementing technology plans across a range of organisational settings and/or sectors, contributing directly to corporate strategies.
- Setting and meeting business objectives.
- Defining and delivering service level requirements.
- Defining, developing and maintaining effective business relationships (internally and externally).
