About the role:

The Board currently consists of Chair and Trustees appointed both for their prior professional experience and for their commitment to the mission and values of change grow live. The skills include:

  • Legal & Regulatory
  • Human Resources, People and EDI
  • Technology
  • Social care and safeguarding
  • Finance and entrepreneurship
  • Academia

We are now particularly looking for:

  • A Trustee with a clinical background and expertise (specifically a doctor or relevant qualification desirable)
  • A Trustee with strategic marketing and brand development background and expertise

We aim to recruit individuals whose values match those of the organisation and the current Board.

The Role of Trustees:

  • Contribute actively to the Board’s role in setting overall strategy, defining corporate goals and targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets
  • Exercise trusteeship of the values of change grow live
  • Appoint the Chief Executive and members of the Executive Leadership Team and support them to deliver the charity’s strategy
  • Think widely and achieve good balance between collaboration and challenge
  • Ensure that change grow live complies with its Articles, Charity law, Company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations, and pursues the charitable objects as defined in the Articles and in accordance with accepted standards of best practice and propriety
  • Comply with the Charity Commission’s Governance Code
  • Ensure that there is a defined and agreed mission, to which all change grow live’s volunteers and staff can work
  • Ensure change grow live uses its resources exclusively in pursuance of its
  • Approve the budget and accounts and ensure the financial stability of change grow live
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all governance matters
  • Act as a faithful advocate and representative of change grow live at all times
