Welcome

Thank you for your interest in becoming a trustee at Change Grow Live.

It’s a truly exciting time to join us, as we embark on a five-year strategy to support more people than ever to transform their lives.

We are one of the UK’s largest charities, and the largest third-sector provider of health and social care services. We support people dealing with complex and wide-ranging challenges – whether that’s substance use, involvement in the criminal justice system, homelessness, or the mental and physical health issues associated with all of these.

From supporting young people and families to helping someone access work, housing or healthcare, our services are rooted in compassion, evidence and community. And they are delivered by more than 4,000 staff and 1,500 volunteers, including many with lived experience, who bring empathy and authenticity to the support we offer.

We understand that everything we do has to make a difference, and we believe that high quality healthcare is a right.

As Chair of Trustees, I have the privilege of seeing firsthand the extraordinary impact this charity has on people’s lives. Every time I visit our services across the country, I’m reminded of what makes Change Grow Live such a remarkable organisation: our people, our mission and our values.

We’re currently launching an ambitious five-year strategy for 2025–2030. It focuses on reaching more people earlier, with care that is high quality, person-centred and inclusive. We’re embracing innovation and digital transformation to remove barriers, improve access and free up our people to focus on what matters most: working with people to help them achieve lasting change in their lives. As a learning organisation, we know that we must evolve with the world around us, and that governance plays a key role in enabling this.

As a trustee, you will help to shape the strategic direction of a charity at the forefront of social change. You will play a vital role in ensuring that we remain effective, ethical and responsive to the needs of the people we serve.

The trustee role here is exceptionally rewarding. You’ll work alongside a passionate board and leadership team to support a high-performing organisation as it continues to grow and develop. There are big opportunities ahead – and big responsibilities, too. But what unites us is a commitment to quality, compassion and believing in people.

If you’re looking for a role that makes a real difference – and if you want to help shape the future of a bold, compassionate and innovative organisation – I encourage you to apply.

Thank you again for considering joining us.
