Welcome

Thank you for your interest in becoming a trustee at Change Grow Live.

It’s an exciting time to join us, as we continue to deliver against our five-year strategy to help more people sooner, making the most of our scale, community connections and partnerships to tackle stigma, break down barriers and get people the support they need when they need it.

Change Grow Live is one of the UK’s largest charities, and the largest third-sector provider of health and social care services. We support people dealing with complex and wide-ranging challenges – whether that’s substance use, involvement in the criminal justice system, homelessness, or the mental and physical health issues associated with all of these.

Our work is rooted in compassion, evidence and community, and shaped by a commitment to Believe in People – a philosophy that underpins both our services and our ways of working and culture.

Across England and Scotland, our 150+ services are delivered by 7000 staff and  volunteers, many with lived experience, who bring empathy and authenticity to the support we offer.

As Chair of Trustees, I have the privilege of seeing firsthand the profound impact our charity has on people’s lives, and every time I visit a service I’m reminded of what makes Change Grow Live such a remarkable organisation: our people, our mission and our values.

To achieve our ambitions in an environment where we’re being asked to do more with less, we’re embracing innovation and digital transformation to remove barriers, improve access and free up our people to focus on what matters most: working with people to help them achieve lasting change in their lives.

As a trustee, you will help to shape the strategic direction of a charity at the forefront of social change, playing a vital role in making sure that we remain effective, ethical and responsive to the needs of the people we serve.

The trustee role here is fascinating and rewarding, and you’ll work alongside a passionate board and leadership team to support a high-performing organisation as it continues to grow and develop. There are big opportunities ahead – and big challenges too. But what unites us is a commitment to putting the people who use our services at the heart of everything we do, and a shared belief that access to high-quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege.

If you’re looking for a role that makes a real difference, and if you want to help shape the future of a bold, compassionate and influential organisation, I encourage you to apply.

Thank you again for considering joining us.
