We are looking for an outstanding Chair of Trustees to help guide Bloomsbury Football Foundation through its next stage of growth, bringing strong experience of leading organisations through periods of rapid scaling – whether in business, the charity sector, or both.
The Chair will provide strategic governance and leadership to the Board, ensuring the Board and its committees are set up in the way that best supports high performance, strong decision-making and long-term success. They will bring a combination of ambition and rigour – able to challenge constructively, set high standards, and help the organisation stay focused on what matters most as it grows.
As well as being an effective chair internally, this person will be an inspiring and credible figurehead externally, happy to champion the charity alongside our Founder and CEO, trustees and senior leaders. They will be comfortable representing Bloomsbury with senior stakeholders, and will actively support fundraising by accompanying the CEO and Director of Fundraising at key supporter and prospect meetings. Ideally, they will also bring a personal network they are willing to involve in the charity’s journey.
The Chair will act as a trusted adviser and mentor to the CEO, offering guidance, encouragement and perspective – and helping ensure Bloomsbury continues to scale with quality, pace and ambition.
