Experience
- Previous experience as an effective leader, leading a commercially vibrant, growth-oriented organisation, ideally with remote and dispersed teams
- Extensive experience of change and transformation of small or medium-sized organisations, including success in motivating, recruiting, developing, retaining, and mentoring high-performance, mission-driven, and results-oriented teams
- Proven experience growing and developing a consultancy (or similar organisation / business unit) into new markets and sectors, including securing strategic, long-term funding partnerships
- A track record in mobilising research and social innovation capabilities to drive social change
- Familiarity with working in a unionised environment
- Proven experience working with and leading a not-for-profit Board and working with diverse groups of people
- An extensive, diverse, and relevant network which will complement The Young Foundation’s existing portfolio
