For nearly 20 years – and with the generous backing of our supporters – we’ve been helping schools build a fair education for all.
By developing the next generation of great teachers and brilliant leaders. And by growing a powerful network of talented people committed to change.
We have recruited and trained over 15,000 trainees to date, supporting more than two million children. When London’s schools transformed their results, we were credited as a leading factor. But we want to do more.
We now work with schools in every region of England, helping them make a difference where it’s needed most.
72% of our former trainees who still teach work in schools in low-income areas.
Over 100 are now headteachers, 470 are senior leaders, and 1,725 are middle leaders.
We partner with schools to help them thrive
We work with schools to find and develop the great teachers and leaders they need.
Within two years of partnering with us, underperforming school departments improve their GCSE results. From 9% lower than others’ in the same school, to 16% higher, on average.
Our teachers become leaders
When they’re ready, we help our teachers step up and lead change.
This support makes our teachers over seven times more likely to progress to senior leadership roles early in their career, than those who train through Higher Education Institute routes.
