Rewilding is one of the most powerful ways to restore nature, address climate breakdown, and create thriving communities. Rewilding is the large-scale restoration of nature until it can take care of itself \u2013 and us \u2013 again.<\/p>\n

Rewilding Britain is helping create a wilder Britain for nature, climate and people. We\u2019re inspiring a movement of rewilders across Britain\u2019s land and seas \u2013 a groundswell of hope, so that together we can ensure a wilder, nature-rich future that benefits us all. We\u2019re the first and only country-wide organisation in Britain focusing on rewilding. We influence policy, inspire public engagement, publish research and catalyse joined-up, positive practical action to help rewilding flourish across Britain\u2019s land and seas. We know it\u2019s not too late \u2013 but we must take action now.<\/p>\n

Our Vision<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our vision is to see rewilding flourishing across Britain, reconnecting us with the natural world, sustaining communities and tackling the climate and ecological crises.<\/p>\n

Our Ambition<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our 2030 ambition is to see a massive upscaling of rewilding, supporting a rich and diverse mosaic of habitats and species across Britain\u2019s land and seas. This will allow nature to flourish while delivering significant ecological, economic and social benefits for and with people and communities.<\/p>\n

Our Strategy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our long-term aim is to see 30% of Britain\u2019s land and seas rewilding, guided by local community, culture and context. That’s why the 2030 objectives in our Wild by Nature<\/em><\/a> <\/span>strategy take a systems change approach. Our objectives are to:<\/p>\n

Normalise Rewilding: <\/strong>Rewilding is embraced in the public narrative as an inspiring, viable and productive use of 30% of the land and seas that has people and communities at its heart.<\/p>\n

Enable Rewilding: <\/strong>Rewilding is embedded in mainstream policy, legislation, funding, research and technology, driving a transition towards 30% rewilding of land and seas across Britain.<\/p>\n

Scale Up Rewilding:<\/strong> A diverse portfolio of large-scale land and marine rewilding initiatives demonstrate the viability and ecological, economic and social benefits of rewilding \u2013 providing inspiration and evidence that influences others.<\/p>\n

Innovate Rewilding:<\/strong> A growing and diverse network of rewilding changemakers drives innovation, shares learning, and demonstrates the potential and viability of rewilding, creating ecological connectivity across land, seas and urban spaces<\/p>\n
