Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a claims environment, with a focus on areas relevant to PFEW’s operations.
  • Strong experience in creating efficiency through processes, both within systems and people processes.
  • Extensive experience in translating legal advice into practical changes in policy and process.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large budgets and operational departments or teams.
  • A strong record of strategic planning and implementation in an operational claims context.
  • [Desirable] Experience or knowledge of managing legal teams.

Claims Processing  Expertise: Subject matter expert in the best practice of claims processing combined with growth in customer satisfaction.

High-Level Communication: Exceptional ability in articulating complex claims and legal issues and strategies to a variety of audiences, including members, executive leadership and non-legal stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement: Proven skills in negotiating and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Ethical Judgement and Integrity: Uphold the highest levels of professional ethics, demonstrating sound judgement in all legal matters.

Adaptive Management: Ability to navigate a dynamic environment, prioritizing and adapting to changing demands while maintaining departmental effectiveness.

This role is fundamental in steering the PFEW’s member claims and legal services strategy and operations, ensuring claims and legal excellence and integrity in support of the Federation’s mission and its members.
