Competencies required for the role
The following are the core competencies and the evidence that will be applied when assessing candidates:
- An understanding and awareness of the significance of the Pathway Fund’s ambition and mandate.
- Senior leadership experience drawn from the commercial or professional services.
- Ability to chair a board of a complex organisation including experience in reconciling different views.
- Sound understanding of the Chair relationship and an ability to work strategically and positively with the executive team.
- Ability to advise on and navigate Pathway’s future needs and in the context of the wider eco-system.
- Able to contribute to the development of strategy and the scrutiny of its delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to act as an ambassador for the Pathways Fund and developing a range of external relationships to support the organisation.
In fulfilling these criteria and principles, the Chair of the Pathway Fund is instrumental in providing strong and visionary leadership to drive the organisation’s mission, and support the drive toward inclusive social and economic growth in Britain.
