Welcome to the Pathway Fund’s Board hiring microsite. We are grateful for your interest and hope you will consider joining us in making UK history.
The Pathway Fund is the much-anticipated impact investor, set up in response to the Adebowale Report, dedicated to catalysing opportunities for Black and Ethnically Minoritised communities across the UK. The Fund works at the intersection of the social economy/investment sector and the race equality sector, and as an endowed fund that seeks to catalyse systems change across these two sectors, we are clearly positioned and will ensure that our work adds to stakeholders’ activities, rather than duplicating or even displacing them
This pack includes information about our work so far, and our vision. We are not looking to rebuild the social investment system, but rather steer its direction towards a more equitable and inclusive landscape. We not only need a Black and Ethnic Minoritised-centric fund to specifically advance racial equity within social investment, but we need one that will act innovatively and collaboratively, and embed anti-racism in everything we do.
Having put this groundwork in place we are seeking an inclusive and dynamic Chair to help us shape and develop the organisation as it makes an impact across the social enterprise landscape. With commercial acumen and strategic ability our inaugural Chair will help drive our activity forward, building enduring external relationships that will bolster our growth. By joining us, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and governance to this ambitious organisation, ensuring it fulfils its mission of supporting Black and Ethnic Minoritised communities and social enterprises.
The Pathway Fund is an ambitious organisation and we are keen to grow, develop and build on our expertise. You will be joining a dedicated and incredibly talented initial team of founders and supporters who have brought The Pathway Fund into being. We are rooted in evidence and experience, and we have a clear vision and purpose to cultivate equitable and inclusive economic growth in the UK.
We hope to receive your expression of interest and look forward to hearing from you soon.
All the best,
Stephen Bediako OBE, Bonnie Chiu, Kunle Olulode MBE
