It\u2019s a truly exciting time to join us, as we always put people living with and affected by Parkinson\u2019s at the very heart of everything we do.<\/p>\n<p>As we approach the conclusion of our current strategic period, \u201cEvery Parkinson\u2019s Journey\u201d, we\u2019re proud of the progress we\u2019ve made across our three strategic pillars. We\u2019ve supported hundreds of thousands of people and have made encouraging strides in our research, but we recognise there is still a great deal more to accomplish in our mission to stop Parkinson\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, we completed the largest study of Parkinson\u2019s to date, analysing over 16 million health records from across the UK spanning the last 21 years. This has provided us with the most comprehensive and up-to-date picture of the prevalence and incidence of Parkinson\u2019s in all four nations, as well as insight into its relationship with other health conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead to the next phase of our strategy, we believe it\u2019s time to be bold. We\u2019re ready to define an ambitious \u201cNorth Star\u201d to guide our future work and sharpen our research focus. We have established strong foundations in our finances, our people, and our community, but to achieve the transformative change we aspire to, we anticipate needing to double our income. With clarity, determination and courage, we are set on reshaping the future for everyone affected by Parkinson\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking a Chair who shares our ambitious vision and who is eager to work in partnership with Caroline Rassell, our CEO, to drive significant breakthroughs and maximise our impact.
