You&#8217;ll join a committed board to provide strategic leadership, ensure good governance, and support our vision of a world where every young person and their family have opportunities to thrive. This rewarding role offers the chance to make a difference, develop new skills, expand your networks, and collaborate to deliver positive social change.<\/p>\n<h3>Accountabilities<\/h3>\n<h4>Leadership &amp; Strategy<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to strategic planning and approve the charity&#8217;s annual budget and strategic plan.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adherence to charitable objects and maintain effective financial management and risk frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Support the CEO by providing strategic guidance while respecting operational independence.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in charity sub-committees as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Grant-making &amp; Beneficiary Engagement<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Help identify organisations and individuals whose work aligns with our mission and could benefit from Trust support.<\/li>\n<li>From time to time visit projects around the country to meet young people and see the impact of our funded work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Governance &amp; Compliance<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure adequate information and control systems to monitor whether objectives are met and policies followed.<\/li>\n<li>Review and approve Trust policies, legal compliance, and safeguarding procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor investment performance and advise on investment manager appointments.<\/li>\n<li>Approve annual reports and accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Board Effectiveness<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend four in person UK board meetings annually and read papers in advance.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to informal correspondence and periodic board effectiveness reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake additional reasonable responsibilities to support the Trust&#8217;s work and act as an ambassador to further the aims of the organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-82","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/ormistontrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/82","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/ormistontrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/ormistontrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/ormistontrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/22"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/ormistontrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=82"}],"version-history":[{"count":5,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/ormistontrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/82\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":140,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/ormistontrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/82\/revisions\/140"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/ormistontrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=82"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
