Qualifications
Candidates may emerge from non-profit, foundation, government, or business backgrounds and should possess the following:
Essential
- Experience as a CEO, Executive Director, or a related position at a non-profit, foundation, government, or business with a demonstrable track record of commercial leadership and business growth of a purpose-driven organisation or business unit.
- Strong business acumen and a history of providing visionary leadership at the executive level.
- Proven experience executing organisation growth and leading a similar or larger size successful profit with purpose entity.
- Proven experience growing and developing a consultancy (or similar organisation / business unit) into new markets and sectors
- Proven experience and/or understanding of the think tank innovation space
- Proven experience in the fundraising space and business development
- Excellent written, oral, and public speaking skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with strong interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
Desirable
- Proven experience working with and leading a profit with purpose Board and working with diverse groups of people.
- Experience and success in motivating, recruiting, developing, retaining, and mentoring high performance, mission-driven, and results-oriented teams
- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources, etc.
