About Us

Our mission is to strengthen and grow the impact economy

We do this through

  • Convening & influencing. We introduce people and their ideas, creating connections and building new networks. Through our research and publications, we challenge and inspire while also offering our platform to amplify unheard voices.
  • Consultancy. We recognise the power of consultancy to build deep relationships and drive change. We provide independent research and advice.
  • Creating collaborative programmes for change. We identify key projects and build powerful networks to strengthen and grow the impact sector. We collaborate with partners so we can discover, develop, and test new ways to maximise social impact.
  • Sharing our learning. We share our work through our publications, events, policy work, and consulting. We do this to embed more evidence-led impactful practice throughout the impact sector.

“NPC are one the of the few examples of actual systems change in the UK.”

Why the Impact Economy?

The impact economy is an increasingly used term across government , academia, finance and impact organisations. We are excited about this development, because grouping together charities, philanthropy, social investment, social enterprise, and purpose-led business, creates an inclusive, energetic and growing community focused on public benefit. NPC have taken on the role of defining the term, estimating how large the Impact Economy is, what is included and explaining why a broad, inclusive term can help deliver more and better impact. Who do we work with?

NPC works across the impact community, with a particular focus on supporting wealth holders (individuals, foundations, and corporates) as well as large delivery organisations. Since inception we have distributed hundreds of millions, evaluated national and international programmes and designed learning programs benefitting thousands of organisations. We work with over 50 organisations in any year, including this year, Barclay’s Private Bank, Lloyds Bank Foundation, National Lottery Community Fund, and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our values

  • We value honesty and integrity, even when it’s hard.
  • We care about evidence.
  • We innovate and learn.
  • We’re committed to inclusion, equity, and diversity, in all its forms.
  • We work with others.
