Masters level qualification or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Highly developed communication, influencing and negotiation skills at executive and national level. Strong level of political acumen.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyse complex evidence and data to inform strategic and operational decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Substantial executive-level leadership experience in large-scale, complex organisations within health, social care or regulatory environments.<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience of professional regulation, safeguarding governance and education quality assurance.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience of leading sustainable organisational change, culture development and high-level stakeholder engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><strong>Standard responsibilities <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There are a number of standard duties and responsibilities that all employees, irrespective of their role and level of seniority within the NMC, are expected to be familiar with and adhere to.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Live out, at all times, the NMC\u2019s values and behaviours.<\/li>\n<li>Comply, at all times, with the requirements of health and safety regulations to ensure their own wellbeing and that of their colleagues.<\/li>\n<li>Promote and comply with NMC policies including diversity and equality both in the delivery of services and treatment of others.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure confidentiality, at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with NMC protocols on the appropriate use of telephone, email and internet facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with the principles of risk management in relation to individual and corporate responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with NMC policies and procedures as compiled on the organisation\u2019s intranet.<\/li>\n<li>In\u00a0addition to\u00a0your main\u00a0areas of\u00a0responsibility,\u00a0our values (integrity, fairness, respect, equity and effectiveness) and\u00a0behaviours are required\u00a0from\u00a0all\u00a0our\u00a0people for successful delivery of\u00a0the NMC Strategy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This job description is not exhaustive and as such the post holder is expected to be flexible.
