Investment Committee Chair\t  <\/h1>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"content\">\n\t<div class=\"content__container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"content__row\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"content__column\">\n\t\t  \t\t\t\t<h3><strong>Purpose of the Role<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Provide strategic investment leadership and robust challenge to deliver long\u2011term, inflation\u2011plus returns consistent with the Trust\u2019s mission, risk appetite, and responsible investment commitments (including Net Zero).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Chair the Investment Committee: set agenda, priorities, and standards; ensure effective decision\u2011making.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the refresh of the IPS and strategic asset allocation; recommend return and risk parameters.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee manager selection and monitoring, including performance, risk, liquidity, and cost effectiveness, focussing on net outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>Provide strong oversight of investment and other advisers; ensure they are challenged and accountable.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the portfolio is broadly aligned with the Trust\u2019s purposes and aspirations, including the journey to Net Zero carbon emissions.<\/li>\n<li>Build expertise and fill capability gaps, such as knowledge of private markets.<\/li>\n<li>Report regularly to the Trustee Board; maintain clarity of delegation and escalation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Essential Experience<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Senior investment leadership (eg, CIO, Deputy CIO, Head of Multi\u2011Asset\/Endowment, consultant or asset owner), ideally with endowment\/foundation or long\u2011term institutional capital.<\/li>\n<li>Proven asset allocation and portfolio construction experience across public and private markets.<\/li>\n<li>Non-executive experience and effective adviser oversight.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable integration of responsible investment and transition strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Desirable<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in UK\/US endowment models;
