The Mission to Seafarers exists to provide hope, care, and practical support to the world’s 1.89 million seafarers and their families. In an ever-changing global maritime environment, our work continues to make a profound difference, offering welfare, advocacy, and compassionate presence across more than 200 ports worldwide. Our vision remains steadfast: that every seafarer and their family, irrespective of faith or cultural background, will enjoy wellbeing, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive.
This is a pivotal moment in the life of the organisation as we plan our next five-year strategy. We are seeking an experienced and committed maritime leader who can offer strategic insight, collaborative governance, and a heart for our mission. As Chair, you will work closely with an engaged and collegial Board, our Secretary General, and teams across the globe to ensure that the charity remains well governed, financially resilient, and true to its purpose.
