We’re looking for someone who has the following experience or demonstrable transferable skills:
Education, Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Fully qualified member of CCAB approved body with 10+ years post-qualification experience.
Knowledge
- Current or recent experience in a senior financial role in the charity sector.
- Experience supporting high performing trustee boards and committees.
- Proven track record of producing high quality financial reports.
- Knows and adheres to Charity SORP and UK generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proven track record of producing strategic plans and forecasts.
- Proven track record of developing IT strategy, leading IT projects and delivering IT infrastructure management.
- Experience building a high performing team.
- Experience providing leadership in areas of risk management.
Skills
- Good written and oral communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to clearly present complex information.
- Strong IT skills, able to embrace new technologies.
- Ability to work alongside colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making.
- Time management skills to allow multi-tasking.

- Strong interest in health and eye health.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in fundraising and/or grant-making charities.
- Experience in medical research funding charities and/or NHS charities.
- Understanding of investment management.
- Knowledge and experience of property related.
