Welcome

Thank you so much for your interest in becoming the Head of Communications & Engagement for Pensions Dashboards at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).

At MaPS, everything we do comes back to people. Every day, millions across the UK turn to us for clarity, reassurance and practical help – whether they’re navigating debt, trying to stay on top of day‑to‑day finances, or planning for a more secure retirement. Behind every one of those moments is a real person with hopes, worries and responsibilities, and we never lose sight of that.

Pensions Dashboards will make a difference on a scale very few public services can. For the first time, millions of people will be able to see all their pensions in one secure place. That simple act of bringing information together can be transformative – helping people reconnect with savings they’ve lost track of, understand what they’re on course for, and make more confident decisions about their retirement. This service has the potential to change lives and help people plan for later life in a way that feels clearer, fairer and far less stressful.

Launching something so important – and so visible – depends on clear, trusted and well‑coordinated communication across a huge and diverse ecosystem. That’s why this role matters so much.

As Head of Communications & Engagement, you’ll shape the story of dashboards from now through launch and into early live service. You’ll help government, regulators, industry and consumers understand what dashboards are, how they work and what they need to do. You’ll be a source of clarity and calm at moments of real pressure, and you’ll work closely with me, with our Executive SRO and with our Chief Executive on some of the most sensitive and high‑profile decisions we’ll take. You will also lead a capable, delivery‑focused team and work at the centre of a complex, fast‑moving environment where clarity, judgement and influence truly matter.

This is a rare opportunity to help deliver a nationally significant digital service and to play a central role in making sure we launch safely, confidently and with the trust of everyone involved.

We’re looking for someone who brings strategic judgment, empathy and a real feel for how to influence behaviour across a complex system. Someone who can simplify complexity, anticipate challenges and build trusted relationships at senior levels. Most of all though, we’re looking for someone who understands the real‑world impact this work will have – and is motivated by helping millions of people make better decisions about their financial futures

Finally – MaPS is a place that thrives on different perspectives, backgrounds and life experiences – it’s part of what makes us stronger. If this role sparks something in you, I would genuinely encourage you to apply.
