Essential Criteria

We’re looking for individuals with substantial experience in leading complex, high-impact transformation programmes. You’ll bring a strong track record of delivering projects or programmes to time, cost, and quality, while working across diverse stakeholder landscapes.

  • Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale transformation projects or programmes in complex environments, with responsibility for outcomes, stakeholder engagement, and delivery assurance.

 

Relevant professional qualifications, including one or more of the following:

  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
  • Agile Project Management
  • P3O Practitioner
  • APM Chartered Project Professional
  • Major Projects Leadership Academy

 

Core capabilities, including:

  • Demonstrate strategic insight, inclusive leadership, and the ability to influence and deliver results across multiple workstreams in complex and evolving environments.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across organisational boundaries and engage constructively with diverse stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
  • Experience of planning, securing, and managing resources for complex projects and programmes.
  • Skilled at leading multi-disciplinary teams that include internal teams, third-party suppliers, and specialist service providers.
  • Experience of working with senior leaders, including Ministers, Civil Servants, or industry executives, with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate governance environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of accuracy and delivery.
  • Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, compelling narratives tailored for different audiences.
  • A flexible, collaborative, and inclusive approach that fosters trust, motivation, and shared ownership across teams.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working in government, the wider public sector, or regulated industries, particularly in pensions, digital transformation, or financial services.
  • Understanding of policy development and implementation processes.
  • Familiarity with digital and data-driven delivery approaches, including agile or hybrid delivery models.
