Person Specification – Corporate Director, Strategy & Impact

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive strategic leadership experience in complex or system-facing environments, with a strong track record in policy development, strategic planning, and impact measurement.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into implementation, with strengths in setting priorities, overseeing delivery, and managing organisational performance.
  • Demonstrated credibility in engaging senior stakeholders, particularly across government, regulators, and other high-level system partners.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use insight and evidence to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Outstanding people leadership, with experience leading inclusive, multi-disciplinary teams and fostering high-performing, supportive cultures.
  • Comfortable working in complex and ambiguous environments, with a clear ability to create alignment, generate momentum, and deliver results.

 

Desirable

  • Understanding of financial wellbeing, regulated services or national public service delivery.
  • Experience working in or alongside an arm’s-length body or strategic government partner.
