On behalf of the entire team at Magic Breakfast, I’d like to extend a warm welcome as you explore the opportunity to join us as our new Director of Operations. We’re thrilled that you are considering becoming part of our mission to remove hunger as a barrier to learning. Sadly, despite over 20 years of providing breakfasts in schools and campaigning for change, child poverty and hunger in our classrooms is a growing and pervasive issue.
We have just welcomed a new government and want to seize the opportunity for our work to enable even greater impact for children and young people. But there is no magic wand and with 1 in 3 children in the UK living in poverty, we know there is a great deal of work to do before we achieve our vision. This role is crucial to the leadership and ambitious plans of Magic Breakfast and will enable us to tackle child morning hunger today, while we seek to end it for good. We know that every breakfast we deliver powers learning, play, happiness, and opportunity for a hungry child.
