Marketing & Communications Trustee

Ideal Background

  • A current senior marketing and communications professional (director/chief officer), who leads all or a significant part of a marketing and communications function, including market strategy, brand positioning, social media, press and government/external stakeholder relations.
  • A current expert in the use of digital tools in a paid and organic marketing strategy.
  • Experience of transformation in the context of marketing and communications.

Ability to advise on

  • Provide strategic oversight, support and challenge to the Board and CEO in relation to the development and successful implementation of our brand and communications strategy refresh.
  • Provide thought leadership on the use of digital strategy, infrastructure, tools and required capabilities to enable us to succeed in increasing brand identity, awareness, reach and propensity to support.
  • Specifically, to provide counsel relating to the integration of Hearing Link and Hearing Dogs web platforms, audience, content, and positioning.
  • Support the Board of trustees in overseeing reputational risk management in relation to marketing and communications.
  • On a day-to-day basis, provide a sounding board on most effective use of marketing channel mix, interplay, and emerging behavioural trends.
  • On a day-to-day basis, provide a sounding board in briefing and influencing a range of press and media contacts in order to achieve positive news coverage nationally and locally.

Digital Trustee

Ideal Background

  • A current chief technology (director/chief officer), who leads all or a significant part of a digital/IT function, including planning and implementation infrastructure and data systems that lend to a user-focused digital effectiveness and experience.
  • Experience of transformation in the context of business technologies and processes to deliver cost effectiveness and service improvements to customers internally and externally.
  • Experienced in agile project management practices and user-focused digital service/product innovation and delivery (beneficiaries).

Able to advise on

  • Thought leadership in the use of digital innovation and technology to enhance our capabilities and cost efficiencies as we look to transform to be able to deliver the new strategy.
  • New technologies within people orientated organisations and services to tailor knowledge management and customer relationship systems thus helping us to better deliver user-focused services and measure impact/effectiveness.
  • Bring practical insights and networks into the opportunities and risks that will help us to move forward in our future digital innovation projects. In particular user-focused service design and delivery.
  • Provide assurance for the Board of Trustees relating to HDfDP compliance with GDPR and assurance in cybersecurity.
  • Provide support for the Board of Trustees and CEO in ensuring our digital/IT infrastructure and delivery is fit for purpose and future proofed.
