Essential
- Significant experience in partnership, business development, or negotiation roles within health, life sciences, government, or research sectors.
- Experience engaging with DHSC, DSIT/BIST, NHS England, and other relevant Government bodies at a senior level.
- Deep understanding of the UK health data landscape, including NHS data infrastructure, Trusted Research Environments, and relevant policy frameworks (e.g. Goldacre Review, Data Saves Lives, Life Sciences Sector Plan).
- Proven track record of building and managing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships at a senior level
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and structure formal partnership agreements, data sharing arrangements, and commercial terms.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the credibility to represent an organisation at board and ministerial level.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate organisational goals into compelling partnership propositions
- High personal and professional integrity, with a genuine commitment to public trust, patient benefit, and the responsible use of NHS data.
- Commitment to equitable access and inclusion, consistent with HDRS’s obligations under the UK Equality Act 2010.
Desirable
- Familiarity with the HDRS initiative, and wider Government-funded health data initiatives.
- Understanding of clinical trials infrastructure and the commercial clinical trials landscape, with reference to the Lord O’Shaughnessy Review.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (health policy, life sciences, public administration, law, or similar).
