About the role

We are now looking for a Director of Campaigns to lead a multidisciplinary digital team as it adapts to a new operating model putting campaigns at the heart of the organisation, executing those campaigns and delivering against ambitious targets for impact, income and growth.

You will report to our Executive Director. You can see how the role fits into the current Good Law Project team at the end of this job pack.

Salary: £80,000 per annum (pro rata for part time) with generous benefits including enhanced pension contribution, 25 days annual holidays plus public holidays.

Hours: 35 per week over 5 days

Contract type: Permanent

The role is advertised as “full-time” however we would be willing to consider flexible options including part time hours.

Location: Hybrid working with office in central London (subject to any COVID-19 restrictions) and options for flexibility to work from home.

Job Purpose:

Reports to: Executive Director

Responsible for:

  • Campaigns Manager
  • Digital Growth Manager
  • Supporter Services Manager
  • Multi-Media Producer

With further campaigns, content production and tech/digital product roles to be recruited.

Duties and key responsibilities

  • Set the overall campaigning, fundraising and marketing strategy and lead the team to deliver against ambitious organisational aims and targets
  • Lead digital campaigns from initial concept through execution, as part of a new operating model which puts campaigns at the heart of the organisation
  • Oversee all owned media channels, including email and social
  • Lead the supporter services function
  • Lead the production of creative content for paid and organic channels
  • Work closely with the Director of External Affairs to craft compelling narratives for individual campaigns and the wider organisation
  • Oversee the outward facing tech function, including all public facing platforms and websites, as well as the CRM
  • Work with the Partnerships Director to deliver services above to third party partners as a service
  • Recruit, lead and develop individual members of the campaigns function with overall responsibility for the campaigns team
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation as a member of the SMT
  • Represent the organisation when required

General Responsibilities

  • As part of the SMT, bring effective leadership to the organisation as part of that group and as an individual
  • Be flexible and carry out other associated duties as may arise, develop or be assigned in line with the broad remit of the position
  • Manage the effective performance of, and provide leadership, support and guidance to your direct reports, and support managers in your team with their supervision of their direct reports
  • Actively support and embed GLP’s values and its positive culture in your professional practice at all times
