Qualifications and Training

  • ACA or equivalent.

Experience

Essential

  • Proven senior financial leadership (reporting to Directors/Trustees) in a complex regional or national organisation.
  • Experience of working within a wide network voluntary sector organisation.
  • Experience of influencing senior decision makers in other organisations (partners or otherwise).

Desirable

  • Experience of working within the Church of England.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Able to understand and articulate complex concepts and subtle interactions.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of social and political dynamics.
  • Able to think independently and produce a high standard of finished work.
  • Able to offer appropriate challenge to decision makers in a constructive manner.
  • Proven organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of GIS mapping software.
  • Understanding of the Church of England’s structure and practice (or able to learn quickly).
