About Us

Global Dialogue sits behind some of the most complex and collaborative philanthropic work happening today.

Across philanthropy, funders and networks are increasingly working together to respond to urgent global challenges, often across borders, political contexts and legal systems. These collaborations are ambitious by nature, but their success depends as much on strong operational foundations as on vision or funding.

Global Dialogue exists to provide those foundations. We host funder networks, collaboratives and programmes working to advance rights, equity and diversity, providing the infrastructure that enables this work to operate effectively in practice. By taking on the legal and organisational responsibility that hosting requires, we allow others to concentrate on the substance of their work and the impact they are trying to achieve.

The programmes we host vary widely in scale, geography and focus, but they share a common set of needs: the ability to move money responsibly, employ and support people across jurisdictions, manage risk, and remain compliant without losing agility or purpose. Global Dialogue is deliberately structured as a small, specialist organisation to support this kind of complexity, combining rigour with flexibility and judgement rather than rigid process.

We work as a host, not a traditional service provider. Hosted programmes sit within Global Dialogue’s legal and charitable framework, and we take on the responsibilities that come with that role. At the same time, we delegate the maximum authority possible in law to programme teams and their advisory or steering groups, creating space for strong leadership, autonomy and accountability within a clear governance structure.

Global Dialogue works internationally and . Our model brings together experienced professionals across finance, people, grantmaking, governance and systems, alongside a trusted network of external advisers. This allows us to stay close to the work while supporting activity across multiple jurisdictions and operating contexts, without growing distant from the programmes we host.

Our portfolio includes long-standing international networks and pooled funds, as well as newer initiatives navigating growth, scrutiny or organisational change. What they share is a need for hosting that is practical, proportionate and grounded in experience.

Our work is shaped by five organisational commitments: to be purposeful, accountable, respectful, practical and equitable. These are not abstract values. They guide how we make decisions, how we support colleagues and partners, and how we exercise responsibility for the work entrusted to us.

For someone joining Global Dialogue, this means working in an organisation where operations are not a background function, but a core enabler of mission. It is a place where judgement matters, where complexity is taken seriously, and where thoughtful, well-designed infrastructure is recognised as essential to social change.
