Trustee Role Overview<\/h2>\n

As a Trustee, you will:<\/p>\n

  • Provide oversight and constructive challenge to ensure high standards of governance, safeguarding and performance.<\/li>\n
  • Support the organisation to navigate a complex and evolving external environment, balancing opportunity with risk.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure the voice and experience of service users informs decision-making.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to a strong, inclusive and effective Board culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Role Specific Requirements<\/h3>\n

    Clinical Leadership Trustee<\/h4>\n

    This role will play a critical part in strengthening the Board\u2019s oversight of service quality, safeguarding and clinical governance.<\/p>\n

    You will:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Bring senior clinical leadership experience, ideally within healthcare, mental health or addiction services.<\/li>\n
    • Support the Board in assuring safe, effective and evidence-based service delivery at scale.<\/li>\n
    • Contribute insight on balancing quality, risk and innovation in complex service environments.<\/li>\n
    • Provide credible challenge and guidance on clinical strategy and outcomes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Digital, Data and Technology Trustee<\/h4>\n

      This role is central to shaping how GamCare uses digital and data to expand reach, improve accessibility and enhance impact.<\/p>\n

      You will:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Bring senior experience in digital transformation, data strategy or technology leadership.<\/li>\n
      • Support the Board in ensuring digital investment drives measurable improvements in service access and outcomes.<\/li>\n
      • Provide insight on digital governance, cyber risk and data protection.<\/li>\n
      • Help position GamCare as an innovative, insight-driven organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Income Generation and Fundraising Trustee<\/h4>\n

        This role will support the Board in ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation.<\/p>\n

        You will:<\/p>\n

        • Bring a strong track record in income generation, partnerships or commercial strategy.<\/li>\n
        • Help shape a diversified and resilient funding model in a changing landscape.<\/li>\n
        • Provide insight into fundraising strategy, stakeholder engagement and income risk.<\/li>\n
        • Support the organisation to maximise opportunities presented by new funding mechanisms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Health Systems and Commissioning Trustee<\/h4>\n

          This role will be critical in strengthening the Board\u2019s understanding of commissioning, system dynamics and the external environment in which GamCare operates.<\/p>\n

          • Bring senior experience within health systems, commissioning, public health or integrated care.<\/li>\n
          • Support the Board to navigate a complex and evolving commissioning landscape, including the transition to statutory funding arrangements.<\/li>\n
          • Provide insight into how services are planned, funded, commissioned and evaluated, ensuring GamCare is well positioned within emerging models.<\/li>\n
          • Contribute to the Board\u2019s understanding of system relationships, partnership working and contract environments.<\/li>\n
          • Help shape GamCare\u2019s strategic positioning and influence within a highly interconnected and politically sensitive system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
