You may come from the cultural, non-profit, or commercial sector, provided you bring strong financial and operational leadership skills.<\/p>\n<h3>Essential Skills &amp; Experience<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven financial leadership experience, ideally at Director or Senior Management level.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of charity finance, including restricted\/unrestricted funds, statutory reporting, and grant compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in commercial income generation, such as retail, hospitality, or venue hire, and the ability to grow revenue streams.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance, particularly in the non-profit or cultural sector.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience of budget management, financial forecasting, and reporting to Boards or senior stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing audits and financial reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead high-performing teams, setting clear objectives and driving continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>A professional finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience in charity finance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Desirable Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience managing relationships with Arts Council England, local authorities, and philanthropic funders.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of charity governance and reporting obligations, including SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What We Offer<\/h3>\n<p>At Firstsite, we believe that strong financial leadership is the foundation of artistic and social impact.
