Thank you for your interest in joining the Fairtrade Foundation, a global movement for change working towards a vision of a world where all producers enjoy secure and sustainable livelihoods.
Since our establishment, we have been at the forefront of advocating for fair wages, safe working conditions, and climate justice for those who produce the goods we consume every day, standing proudly for a more equitable and sustainable trade system.
Our outgoing CEO, Michael Gidney, leaves the Foundation as one of the strongest global organisations within the international Fairtrade network, and a firm foundation on which you will be able to build. Our next multi-year strategy is due to begin in 2026 and working closely with our Board, Executive Team and international Fairtrade federation, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of Fairtrade.
As the global landscape changes rapidly, whether in the commercial sector, environmentally or otherwise, as CEO you will lead us through this exciting period of possibility and change. With our stakeholders spanning commercial partners, media, governments, farmers, workers, and the public, there is a real opportunity to build a trade system that is fair to people and planet.
We are also committed to living our values of accountability, integrity, respect and partnership not just in the work we do but in how our organisation operates. We particularly value a collaborative, empowering approach to leadership grounded in inclusivity and wellbeing, and we are looking for someone that is committed to shifting increasing power to farmers and workers, who knows how to make the most of the skills and passions of those around them, and who has the energy, enthusiasm and pragmatism to deliver tangible outcomes for fairness and justice in international trade.
