The National Investing Bodies (NIBs) are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Church Commissioners for England <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">(<a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofengland.org\/about\/leadership-and-governance\/church-commissioners\">Church Commissioners | The Church of England<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The Church of England Pensions Board <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">(<a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofengland.org\/about\/leadership-and-governance\/church-england-pensions-board-0\">The Church of England Pensions Board | The Church of England<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The CBF Funds operated by CCLA Investment Management <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">(<a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ccla.co.uk\/\">Home | CCLA<\/a>).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The EIAG\u2019s advice is drawn on by other Church investors in the UK and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>The EIAG comprises experts in areas including theology, investment, business ethics.\u00a0 It includes trustees from the NIBs and independent members.\u00a0 It\u2019s world-leading work covers a complex range of issues ranging from climate change to human embryology; from corporate taxation to \u2018big tech\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Secretary plays a pivotal role in the life of the EIAG.\u00a0 The Secretary advises on policy, leads and commissions research and development of advice, and co-ordinates the EIAG, working with the Chair.\u00a0 A key aspect of the role is commanding the confidence of EIAG members, the NIBs, and wider stakeholders including the Archbishop of Canterbury\u2019s office.\u00a0 This role requires excellent organisational skills combined with sound judgement, diplomacy, and a real passion for making a difference in the world through this work.<\/p>\n<p>The EIAG and its Secretariat is funded by the NIBs as a resource to their investment functions and trustees.\u00a0 The Secretariat is distinct from, but works closely with, the NIB Responsible Investment teams.<\/p>\n<p>The EIAG Secretary is employed by the CofE National Church Institutions, and \u2018hosted\u2019 by the Pensions Board on behalf of the NIBs, with a reporting line to the CEO of the Pensions Board.\u00a0 It is a senior leadership role with a high level of operational autonomy.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-13","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/eiag\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/eiag\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/eiag\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/eiag\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/eiag\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=13"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/eiag\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":72,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/eiag\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13\/revisions\/72"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/eiag\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=13"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
