Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience of leading and growing a small to medium-sized Charity or social enterprise – ideally working with underserved population and in the infrastructure support or funding space.
- Accountability for annual budgets of around £2m.
- Understands CIC Governance and the role of the Directors Board.
- Working knowledge and experience of Safeguarding in our context.
- Direct Experience of working with local government and understanding the charity infrastructure landscape – this would be advantageous if from London.
Attributes
- Confident in working with internal and external stakeholders, a strong communicator with presence, and ability to drive change.
- Having either lived experience of or having worked directly within the racial discrimination and the social and economic issues raised and addressed by DINN would be essential.
- A passion for working with our service users with a demonstrably committed to putting them at the heart of our work.
- A love of facilitating and developing learning programmes.
- A ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- The ability to deal with ambiguity and take tough decisions where needed.
- A drive for excellence and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
